Your Love in Action: Ministry Update & Invitation

He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” – John 21:17 (NIV)   

"Do you love me?” 

As Followers of Christ, we understand that Jesus spoke volumes to the Apostle Peter with both His question and His follow up command to “Feed my sheep”.  

I hope that your love for Jesus and His love for you hold you tightly this Valentine’s Day, whether you have someone special to spend the day with or your heart is feeling battered and bruised.

Jesus’ question, and His command to Peter to care for His flock, both spoken three times, have been on my mind all week as I thought about writing to you. I want you to know that through your gifts, prayers, and service you’re helping tend to Jesus’ flock at Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center.  

In the past month, we ministered to 128 families. Here are three for whom you can be praying specifically. 

Pray for the client who’s battling addiction and who feels abortion is her only option. We pray for the transition of the client from us to the rehabilitation clinic and for the staff who will minister to her there.  

Pray for the client whose extreme nausea has made her uncertain about continuing her pregnancy. We praise God that the ultrasound encouraged her, and she is seeking a church home. 

Pray for the father who cried at his appointment because he didn’t have a father in his own life when he was growing up. We praise God that we could help him see that he can break the cycle and be a father to his baby. 

In each of these families, we are believing for a beautiful and powerful comeback story thanks to God’s grace and mercy!

Speaking of powerful comeback stories, in just three weeks you’ll have the opportunity to hear from saline abortion survivor Melissa Ohden.  

Melissa is our guest speaker at QC PRC’s third-annual Night for Life, on March 6th from 6-8 PM, in the Crown Ballroom of the Charlotte Convention Center. 

Parking is free and there will be volunteers to help you find your way from the parking deck to the ballroom. This is a fundraising dinner, but there is no cost to attend. We promise to respect your time and to craft an event that honors God and takes you deep into the heart of pregnancy center ministry with client stories, a powerful speaker, and a few surprises this year.
