"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." - Ephesians 2:10
Good afternoon!
I thought it was appropriate to commemorate the end of the 2024-25 academic year with a pop quiz. Which of the following statements is true?
I understand this may be disappointing, but the answer is #5 - all of the above statements are heartbreaking and true.
They represent a shift that has drastically altered parts of the pregnancy center ministry. For example, the law has changed, and we can no longer tell clients they’re required to have an ultrasound before they decide about having an abortion. And because of the widespread availability of the pill, we often see women who are so early in their pregnancy that even our ultrasound machine can’t yet detect the heartbeat of their unborn child.
But in the most important ways, no law or change in abortion methods influences what we do at Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center. We serve one family at a time, save one baby at a time, and share the gospel and love of Jesus Christ one conversation, one act of kindness at time.
One Monday this month turned out to be the busiest day at QC PRC since we opened our doors. We had the opportunity to serve 17 families (that’s a lot of ultrasounds)! And we’re praising God that we believe eleven of those 17 moms have made the decision to continue their pregnancies.
A week later, we had 20 new people come to HOPE class! The next day we received this text: I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the class yesterday. This pregnancy has been nothing but God showing me to just lean on Him, and I felt like I needed to hear that devotion.
God is at work within QC PRC. And He’s using you. Would you please ask Him to give our medical staff every opportunity to shine light and truth into the dark paths so many of our clients are walking?
Thank you for your prayers and for your sacrificial giving that allows us to offer ultrasounds and wraparound services to those in need. We will continue to thank God for your faithfulness in serving alongside QC PRC in the fight for life.
God’s Word assures us that He has prepared this good work for us to do. And we know that the families we serve matter to Him, that He desires a personal relationship with each and every one of them, and that every child whose life hangs in the balance is created in His image.
Warmly, Mary
