Thank you for saying, "We're In."

At some point over these last two years these monthly emails have gone from updates on the ministry, to personal notes to friends that pray for, serve and give to this ministry. I feel like I can be honest with you that today I am writing from a hard place in a season of walking out serious health issues with my sweet mother who just turned 90 last week.

Yep, during the absolute highs of our second Night for Life there were some lows as well and I would be so appreciative of your prayers. I heard a Pastor once explain that joy and sorrow often run on parallel tracks in our life, and I have experienced that firsthand this week.

What JOY at Night for Life; to have 625 pro-life Christians gather in the crown ballroom of the Charlotte Convention Center! We shared where the ministry is and where it is going and asked for the prayers and financial support of everyone there – this week I am THRILLED to tell you that those incredible people (some of you!) gave over $700,000 to empower this ministry to SERVE families, SAVE children and SHARE the gospel!

If you were unable to join us, clicking here will take you to some pictures and the video we shared that weaves together a treasury of client stories from this year.

Mark Schultz literally had us laughing (JOY) one minute and crying (SORROW) the next. If you find yourself in a place to ever see him in person, I've heard nothing but high praise from his time with us. Mark tells his full circle adoption story in a God-honoring and endearing way.

Not one thing has slowed down at 1508 E 4th Street. Our Program Services staff has been incredibly busy. We’ve employed a new marketing firm and could not be more pleased that our phones are ringing more often, and we are triple-booked with abortion determined and vulnerable clients ringing the bell before our door is even open.

The feedback from our event is always how much you appreciate stories and I know you understand the tightrope we walk with protecting the identities of our clients. These are a few snippets of women we served this past week:

  • Mom of a 16-year-old that does not want to start over

  • Young woman dating a professional athlete who is afraid to tell him she’s pregnant

  • Woman in her 20's that admits she has spent her life numbing the pain of growing up in foster care with drugs and alcohol and can’t find any joy in having a baby right now

  • An abortion determined, overwhelmed mom of three boys, with an abortion scheduled but wonders if this might be her girl

  • A college student who feels she has no support and desperately wants to finish her education

Because of your prayers and support these families will see their babies on ultrasound and will receive counsel that even if no one else will walk with them through this pregnancy – we will. We will love them and do all we can to practically support them and as you know our heart's desire is to weave prayer, God’s love for them, and the Gospel into every conversation. We want them to choose life for their babies and abundant life in Christ for themselves!

Wherever life has you today, whatever mixture of joy and sorrow you are walking out, there is PEACE to be found at every turn because HIS promises are true.

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

Isaiah 26-3

Warmly,

Mary
