257 reasons to celebrate

Good morning! 

I trust you are keeping warm on this coldest day of the year (so far)!

One way to warm your heart is to look ahead to the joyful celebrations ahead in 2024. Speaking of which, by God’s grace and with your partnership, 5 out of 7 days a week in 2024 a baby will be born in Charlotte who was rescued from abortion in 2023.

You read that right, we have 257 life decisions to celebrate together. If you’ve ever experienced firsthand the absolute joy that fills the room when a new baby takes their first breath, multiply that by 257 and think of those moms who will lay their baby on their chest; most will have a fleeting thought of the decision they could have made as they embrace the new life they now hold.

We celebrate each one of those lives and reflect on how each one of their stories started. It’s because of your support to provide an ultrasound, compassionate counsel, practical support, and prayer that each story got turned completely around after walking through the doors of Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center.

Here are a few of those stories:

• An older mom (the medical term now is advanced maternal age) who has ongoing, serious health conditions, but said the ultrasound “made it real” and helped her see that her baby’s life was worth preserving.

• A teen mom who just told her mother she was pregnant the morning they came to the center was as shocked as her mom when they learned she is in her third trimester. The grandmother pivoted from seeking abortion, to saying she will help raise the baby so her daughter can finish college.

• A single mom with a new baby, struggling on her own and seeking abortion services, made the decision to carry her baby the day after her appointment and seeing the ultrasound of her seven-week-old child.

There are so many more families who need QC PRC’s services this year and that’s why there’s another celebration I’d like to ask you to put on your calendar.
