Devotional Guidelines
The goal of the devotional is to help QC PRC clients grow spiritually in Jesus and encourage them toward a community of Christ-followers. Above all, we want every devotional to clearly communicate the hope of the Gospel.

Consider sharing a brief personal story or connecting your message to everyday life before pointing people to Jesus.
Every devotional should clearly communicate these core Gospel truths:

Jesus died for you because He loves you and desires a relationship with you.

Every one of us has sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard, but through Jesus we can receive forgiveness, grace, and new life.

There is lasting hope, peace, and purpose found in Christ.
Something to
Keep in Mind
Our clients come from many different backgrounds and are at all stages of their spiritual journey. Some have faithfully followed Jesus for years, while others have never opened a Bible or may have experienced hurt from the church.
As you prepare, speak with grace, compassion, and humility, sharing the truth of the Gospel in a way that people from all backgrounds can hear, understand, and believe.

1. An Invitation
Invite anyone who has questions or would like to learn more about following Jesus to speak with a volunteer or staff member.
"If you have any questions or would like to talk with a volunteer or staff member about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus, we'd love to speak with you."
2. A Discussion Question
End with one thoughtful question that encourages personal reflection or conversation.
For example:
What gives you hope when life feels overwhelming?
Where have you seen God provide for you recently?
What does it mean to trust God in difficult circumstances?

To create a safe and welcoming environment for every client,
please refrain from:

Sharing personal experiences of abortion or a post-abortive testimony, as this may be difficult for clients who have not yet begun their own healing journey.

Discussing politics, political parties, or political issues.

Using language that may unintentionally shame, condemn, or create unnecessary barriers to hearing the Gospel.
